Drawing I Series

A collection of drawings I made in my Drawing I class while attending the University of California, Irvine. The class started with an introduction to the medium with contour drawings with graphite and pen in order to familiarize students with line work as well as observational skills. A great emphasis was placed on observational drawing; students were tasked with creating their own still lives at home with various household objects. A wide range of mediums and techniques were utilized with the use of graphite, charcoal, black and white gesso, conté, pen and ink, oil sticks, and chalk pastels.
